Dohezar is a tourist region in Khorramabad district which is located in Tonekabon city in the north of Iran. The climate of Dohezar is moderate mountainous with pleasant summers and relatively cold winters. The region is incredibly beautiful and has an exquisite mountainous, meadow and forest and plains and highlands landscapes. Dohezar valley is a destination with diverse attractions. The income of most people in Dohezar villages in earned by agriculture, horticulture and animal husbandry activities. Dohezar River which stems from of Alamut and Solomon's Throne Mountains passes the edge of the village and has a very beautiful surrounding. The beautiful surrounding, in the summer is the perfect place to spend leisure time by tourists.
Dohezar height is one of the beautiful scenery of the area that Sayalan Mountain and Gerdkouh height are the most important attractions of this area. Sayalan Mountain is the highest mountain in Tonekabon city. This mountain with 4250 meters height is one of the major attractions of the sport which has a unique and very interesting landscape. This route passes from lush forests and beautiful high mountain. 5 hour hike is required to achieve Sayalan peak which has an indescribable glory of beautifying. Daryasar plain is in the ascent route to the Sayalan peak. This beautiful plain with a very pleasant weather and covered with a variety of flowers and plants and tight beautiful landscapes of Tang Lat, Khan Bon, Siah Kal and Kal Lat mountains and waterful springs are one of the unique natural attractions of Iran.
Another favorite of mountain climbers is Gerdkouh heights that have 1,300 meters high with a mild slope which is one of the talented and beautiful spaces of Dohezar valley.
Chaldare Park is located in the way of Tonekabon to Dohezar with 94 hectares area between the delta of Dohezar and Sehezar rivers. This park has the welfare amenities and health facilities.
Dense forests of Dohezar area with a variety of beech, ash, sycamore and Hyrcania trees are full of color in spring, summer and autumn seasons and create beautiful landscapes and stunning. Mahi varzan waterfall in the source of Dohezar, borage farms and Garkhani springs are the other natural attractions of Dohezar.
Sizdah Sho ceremony, Tir Mah celebration, Nowrouz celebration, Sizdah Bedar, Charshanbe Souri, Yalda night, and borage collection celebration are one of the interesting traditions of this area. Folk music of Dohezar villages can be heard with local sounds and rhymes in weddings and celebrations.

Access to the Dohezar area
This area can be accessed through Tonekabon city and beautiful route of Dohezar valley and it has appropriate road and asphalt. In other words, if you move from Tonekabon to Khorramabad (a small city about ten kilometers to Tonekabon), after 15 kilometers in the way of Dohezar you will reach a region named Ghalea Gardan. Continue Dohezar from there. Dohezar is 270 kilometers away from Tehran and it takes 6 hours from Chalous road.

No personal vehicle:

If you want to go there by bus or taxi, attempt from the west terminal. It takes 5 hours to Tonekabon (Shahsavar). There are also rides to go to Tonekabon. Or Sign up for a tour through Dohezar jungle.
